BellaCuttery was created from the desire to be freed of the debt I was buried in trying to live my dreams. I was born and raised south of the river in Richmond, Virginia in a low-income neighborhood and attended the lowest rated schools in the county. Surrounded by all the reasons I could not succeed and excel in life, I used that as fuel to not let my surroundings and situations foreshadow my future. I graduated from Old Dominion University in 2009 with a Finance Degree and went to work for the federal government.
In 2013, my husband was called to assist in power-restoration efforts following Hurricane Sandy. Bored in our small apartment in Northern Virginia, I purchased a craft vinyl machine to keep myself busy. That initial craft and a dream turned into a successful business within one year and has grown ever since. I am in the top 1% of sellers on Etsy and BellaCuttery is featured in Handmade at Amazon. In November 2019, I resigned from the government to be a full-time entrepreneur.
It is my mission to create timeless gifts for life’s special occasions, by collaborating with my customers to create the best experience to preserve joyful memories forever. I stay true to my handmade artisanship as my hands touch every single order. I am reputable in my community and industry and am authentic and passionate about what I do.
